As the flood hit in June, 2013, it was with a heavy heart that many Calgarians had to leave our home. Our neighbors at the Calgary Zoo also had to leave for safer grounds. Despite some losses, most were saved and are in healthy condition.
Many of them are waiting to head back to the Calgary Zoo to the place they once called home. Please join us in raising funds toward rebuilding habitats for the welcome return of our animal friends. As of date, we have raised $3000.00!

Local professional photographers, Jeff Cruz and Dave Law have provided images of their favorite zoo animals for this fundraiser. Packs of six greeting cards have been created and will be sold for $20. Check out the slideshow below to see the images of the cards.

This fundraising project is organized by Monica Hui, a wedding and event planner and designer. Born and raised in Calgary, the impacts of the flood literally "hit" her hard as well. Wanting to do something for the Calgary Zoo, she contacted friends and made some new ones to create these cards for sale. The first friend to jump onboard to help was Ken Hsueh. His passion and help on this project is invaluable.
This project and use of the Calgary Zoo logos have been approved. All individuals involved in this project volunteered their time, support, and efforts. The proceeds will be donated to the Calgary Zoo directly.
